OUR STORES

All locations are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. This temporary change, along with limiting some variety, will help us keep our shelves stocked and ensure our customers can secure the products they need. We will return to our regular hours and full services as quickly as possible.

At Central Market stores, we are going above and beyond our already strict protocols to sanitize our stores to create a safer shopping experience.

  • Central Market stores are thoroughly sanitized daily and hard surfaces are sanitized at a high frequency throughout the day.
  • Customers can find hand sanitizer available throughout our stores, as well as basket wipes at every entrance.
  • We have a dedicated team of Partners and COVID Action Managers in each store to ensure sanitization of carts & baskets, and social distancing practices are being followed. (See more below.)
  • We’re conducting training for our Partners to reinforce our enhanced hygiene and personal wellness measures.
  • We’re making changes to Bulk, Bakery, and Self-Serve Stations. (See more below.)

In addition to monitoring store sanitization, our COVID Action Team is responsible for seeing that our social distancing programs are properly followed. We’ve continued to expand and strengthen our social distancing protocols, which include signs and floor markers encouraging distancing, installing sanitation shields at checkout, and metering store entry when necessary.

You’ll notice temporary updates to our self-service products around the store. Olive bar, bulk spreads and dips, soups, and salads are now available in pre-packaged containers. Many of our most popular dry bulk goods requiring scoops will be available pre-packed as well. In our bakery, we’re wrapping our freshly baked loafs, bagels, croissants, muffins, cookies, and more.

We understand our customers want to prepare by stocking up on the essentials. Texans must continue to prepare, but panic does not promote progress. To provide access for all our customers, some product quantities may be limited.

H-E-B has been preparing for coronavirus, and we are in a strong position to keep replenishing our shelves. Customers should not panic, and we are continuing to restock shelves around-the-clock. We are encouraging preparedness, not stockpiling – please buy what you need and leave some for your neighbor behind you. We are in this as a community, and it’s important to keep calm. Central Market and H-E-B Partners are ready to help #SlowtheSpreadTexas.

In keeping with city health guidelines, our Central Market cafés and dining seating areas are closed. We will continue to serve to-go meals out of our Central Market Food Stations, such as made-to-order sandwiches, market bowls, and salads available at many stores.

Our Cooking School is temporarily Closed. Because your safety and the safety of our Partners is our top priority, we have decided to cancel classes. We will process registration refunds for classes through the end of March. We will make every effort to reschedule classes that have been cancelled and apologize for any inconvenience that this decision may cause. If you have questions, please contact the Cooking School Manager of the school that you attend. We look forward to welcoming you back to our schools soon!

Due to high demand and unusual circumstances, we have paused the distribution of our Weekly Savor.

OUR COMMUNITY

Our Partners are the heart of everything we do at Central Market. We want to help them take extra care of themselves and their families so they can take better care of you, our customers.

  • We are equipping our Partners with the best and most current information so that they can make informed decisions for their families.
  • We have increased resources for our Partners to improve their wellness practices, and if they do not feel well, we encourage them to stay home under our extended medical leave.
  • Additionally, the company has eliminated all business-related air travel both domestically and internationally for Central Market Partners until further notice.
  • H-E-B gives $3 million for coronavirus community support

As a state, we can help slow the spread of coronavirus by working together as a community. There are everyday preventative measures and practices we can all employ to stay healthy, and help prevent the flu and other viral infections.

  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unclean hands.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
  • At home and at work, clean frequently touched surfaces.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Rest assured, according to the CDC, the coronavirus is not related to any food products.
