Safety & Precautions
  • We ask that you return a signed copy of the waiver for each attendee via email prior to class.
  • Please wear a mask while in the Cooking Schools. Masks can be removed to enjoy samples provided or the food that you have prepared.
  • Our Partners will maintain a 6-foot distance from attendees while in the Cooking Schools. We ask that you maintain a 6-foot distance from other attendees during the class.
  • Classes are limited to a maximum of two hours. For that reason, we ask that all attendees arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the confirmed time of the class.

Visit our Cooking School page on centralmarket.com to see the different options to choose from. Select your nearest Central Market location to view upcoming classes at that location. Click “Tickets” to purchase a seat in a class. You will receive a confirmation email after your registration is complete.

The charge for classes, which includes instruction for up to 8 attendees in most schools, varies. All food, beverages, and equipment will be provided.

Classes are limited to a maximum of 8 participants in most schools. San Antonio can seat 6 socially distanced attendees. 

Participants should dress with safety in mind. Please wear closed toe, flat shoes and tie back long hair. The temperature in our Cooking Schools can vary, so it is best to dress in layers and include a light sweater or jacket. Please wear a mask during class.

All products, ingredients, and equipment, including aprons and disposable gloves, will be provided.

Cancellations must be received 1 week (7 days) prior to the start time of the class in order to receive a refund. A cancellation fee will be deducted from the total amount to be reimbursed. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made after the cut-off date.

Classes must be paid for in full in order to confirm registration.

Please contact the Cooking School Manager at the school that you plan to attend to arrange in-store payment prior to class if you plan to use a Central Market Gift Card.

  • Substitutions in the menu may occur due to product availability.
  • A snack will be provided when you arrive at the Cooking School and you will enjoy the food prepared during the class. The food prepared is the equivalent of a meal for most participants.
  • Food and beverages may not be brought into nor taken away from the Cooking Schools, except in “Make & Take” classes.
  • Participants who are 21 years of age or older will be offered 2 servings of wine or beer along with nonalcoholic options during most classes. Please see the menu for details as beverage offerings vary for each class.
  • Parent & Child classes must include 1 adult for every child.
  • Classes are age appropriate, so please note that information in each class description prior to registration.
  • For your safety and the safety of our Instructors, attendees will not be cooking in our kitchens.
  • Participants will be seated at least 6 feet from each other. Our Instructors will show you recipes and share tips on ingredients, substitutions, and techniques.
  • You will assemble, decorate, or complete the items listed in the menu. You will sample each item. The food prepared is the equivalent of a meal for most participants.
  • Participants 21 years of age or older will be offered one glass of wine or beer to complement the meal in classes.
  • Hands on indicates that you will be cooking in our Cooking School kitchen.
  • At this time, to ensure your safety and that of our Partners, we are offering these classes as Private Events.
  • For your safety and the safety of our Instructors, attendees will not be cooking in our kitchens.
  • Participants will be seated at least 6 feet from each other. Our Instructors will show you how to make 3-4 recipes and share tips on ingredients, substitutions, and techniques.
  • You will sample each item. The food prepared is the equivalent of a meal for most participants.
  • Participants 21 years of age or older will be offered one glass of wine or beer to complement the meal in “Demo & Dine” classes.
  • For your safety and the safety of our Instructors, attendees will not be cooking in our kitchens.
  • Participants will be seated at least 6 feet from each other, assemble menu items, and take the food they’ve created with them at the end of class. Samples of each dish will be offered during class. Some items will be completed in class, while others will need to be finished at home.
  • Details for each event are included in the class description. 
  • For your safety and the safety of our Instructors, attendees will not be cooking in our kitchens.
  • Participants will be seated at least 6 feet from each other. Our Instructors will introduce you to, for example, a variety of cheeses.
  • You will learn about each item and sample each one.
  • Participants 21 years of age or older will be offered one glass of wine or beer to complement the food included in the tasting.
