24 Years of Foodie Innovation and Inspiration
Are Brought to this New Location

Dallas – September 4, 2018 – Central Market will open the doors of its newest location at the corner of Midway Road and Northwest Highway in Dallas on Wednesday, Sept. 5 with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 7:30 a.m. This will mark the company’s 10th specialty retail location in Texas, and the third location in Dallas. Central Market Midway brings 250 jobs to the area and will feature more than 20,000 products on any given day – rotating more than 5-6,000 new products each year as new items are procured locally and around the world.

The store totals over 50,000 sq. ft. on two levels and will have many new features for Central Market customers including: an eight-foot specialty mushroom table filled with delicacies not found in any other retail store; an exclusive selection of specially curated red and white burgundies from France as well as an extensive collection of Bordeaux from the Loire Valley; the largest selection of Texas coffee roasters –more than 100 varieties, plus limited edition micro lots and single origin beans as well as Central Market’s In-House Roasted Coffee; old fashioned New York style bagels—boiled and oven finished in our bakery; a modular combination Cooking School and Community Room to be used for cooking classes, special events and community gatherings – the room can be sized down for smaller groups or open to full capacity for larger groups; specialty olive oils and small batch vinegars; and 100 varieties of bronze die pasta.

In addition to the 45,000 sq. ft. of retail space, the store will offer Curbside Service and Home Delivery-including beer and wine—within a seven-mile radius, as well as full service floral, and catering and gift basket departments.

“There’s a unique, intimate feeling when opening a store like this in an established neighborhood,” said Stephen Butt, president of Central Market/H-E-B. “The surrounding neighbors have told us they already shop our other Dallas locations and how excited they are to have a convenient location to experience great wine and quality food.”  Butt added, “Central Market will be an integral part of Northwest Dallas.”

Founded in Austin in 1994 by H-E-B, Central Market, dubbed “an amusement park for food lovers,” quickly gained popularity as a destination for everyone from novice food aficionados to expert culinary veterans. Over the past 24 years, Central Market has grown to serve major cities across Texas—San Antonio, Houston, Austin (2), Plano, Southlake, Dallas (3) and Fort Worth.
