It’s Brunch, Baby!

So far this week we’ve talked traditional dinners with spiral ham, and we’ve packed our cars and coolers for an Easter picnic. Today we’re going all in with Easter brunch ideas for the ages. Today’s menu ideas are for folks who hope the Easter Bunny brings mimosas. Maybe it’s you and your best friends, or your single moms crew from the park, or other couples from the neighborhood. Whoever you’re gathering with on Sunday, we have everything you need for a terrific day with terrific food.

Cold Pressed Juice Mimosa Bar
We’re just going to go ahead and start with the bubbly. Because first things first. So go beyond classic OJ and liven up your breakfast bubbly with cold pressed juices and fresh fruit for guests to create their own mimosa flavors.

Central Market cold pressed juices are made fresh daily in-store in flavors like Carrot Orange, Apple Orange Grape, Carrot Apple Pear, and Pear Pineapple Green.

Set out the fresh juices, champagne (or sparkling cider/ginger ale), and bowls of fresh berries and citrus wedges. If that isn’t quite extra enough for you, how about skewers of our Fresh Cut Fruit and doughnut holes or cut cinnamon rolls propped in those mimosa masterpieces, Bloody Mary style? (Kids would love this in juice, too!)

Savory
Quiche: You pinned that one quiche recipe that looked amazing, and Nellie’s Free Range Eggs are on sale this week, so maybe it’s time to give it a go. Or, save that quiche pin for later, and let our chefs whip up this French fave for you. We have traditional Lorraine, Tomato Basil and Smoked Cheddar. Or option three, pick up one of our quiches and just tell everyone it’s just a little recipe you came across online.

Elevate your bacon-wrapped jalapeños with these French Poppers.

It wouldn’t be Easter without Deviled Eggs.

Greek Cucumber Salad keeps things light and fresh.

You for sure need a first-class charcuterie board. What else will you all stand around the kitchen and nibble on?

Ham sliders are a perfect brunch twist on a classic Easter meal. Bonus if you have leftovers from a sit-down Easter-ish dinner the night before. Our Fire-Glazed Bone-In Spiral Sliced Ham stacks up really well on slider buns with cheese and mustard!

Potato salad is always a hit, so try Mustard Potato Salad or Three Potato Salad.

An easy-to-make, nice-to-look-at spring veggie tray (baby carrots not invited) is sure to impress. Look for visually interesting, unexpected veggies like slender purple carrots, greens, spring onions, green beans, parsley, and radishes. Slice and trim as needed and arrange on that lovely platter you got from your grandmother and don’t use as much as you should. Set out high quality olive oil, sea salt, and a pepper mill for dipping and dusting. And, because vegetables (and people) love creamy dips, too, mix plain Greek yogurt with onion, black pepper, crushed red pepper, lemon juice, and dill.

Sweet
Pancakes for a crowd can be tricky, which is why these Blueberries & Lemon Zest Sheet Pan Pancakes are genius.

How about a DIY sweet and savory waffle bar? Set out the waffle iron and batter in an easy-pour pitcher, along with a variety of add-ins. A few ideas: bacon/sausage crumbles, cheddar cheese, green onions, hot sauce, blueberries, diced apples, coconut flakes, and chocolate chips.

Hot Cross Buns – OK, so you might not be into traditional Easter, but you’re totally into soft, gently sweet, spiced rolls with orange peel and golden raisins, right? You’ll find 4-packs in the Bakery.

A white Texas Sheet Cake will give the kids plenty of real estate for fun decorations on top (Peeps and jelly beans come to mind). And Central Market Carrot Cake, Fresh Fruit Tart, and Key Lime Pie from our Bakery are perfect spring treats will have the adults toasting the Easter Bunny for his exquisite taste in desserts. And taking plenty of Instagram pics.

Wine & Beer
Fill the fridge with your favorite Texas craft beers and if you’re looking for a crisp and refreshing white wine, check out Chaos and Harmony Sauvignon Blanc with its notes of grapefruit, kiwi, and lychee. You can also rosé your day away with any of our fabulous pinks!

Floral
Arrange tulips in vases around your home for an easy, gorgeous way to bring the outside in and create a welcoming, special occasion vibe for your guests.
