Rosé is kind of like the Goldilocks of wine, it goes with nearly everything and is just right. Now this is a special meal, and not just any Rosé will do. So with that in mind, here are our suggestion for three that will be the perfect balance for your wall to wall buffet and your wallet.
Bo Rivage – From the extremely small six acre Coteaux Varois appellation in Provence, this one of the best quality wines you can find for the price. With it’s pale pink color, delicate flavors of citrus fruit, good minerality, and soft body it is perfect for your entire meal. Packed in a classic Bourgogne Antik bottle. 2 for $20.
Marquis de Goulaine – A classic French Rosé in the truest sense of the word. This family owned winery has been producing wine in the Loire Valley for more than 300 years, on an estate that has been in the family for over 1,000. This is a perfect blend for those who are new to Rosé with expressive ripe cherry and candied strawberry flavors, it is refreshing and enjoyable, not fussy. $12.95/ea.
S. de La Sablette – The first word I heard to describe this wine was elegant. From Côtes de Provence it is a blend of 40% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, and 30% Syrah. It is a light-bodied Rosé with fruity, floral notes and good acidity at the finish with a slight citrus note. If you like Whispering Angel, you will love this wine. $17.95/ea.
Because Rosé is the perfect Thanksgiving wine, our entire selection of the most diverse and globe-spanning assortment is one sale this week through November 23rd, when you six bottles or more, save 20%.
