Savor the Best of the South

Add to Favorites

Join us for an event sweeter than your tea. Taste the South starts tomorrow and we have two weeks of classic and modern Southern flavors that will reintroduce you to all the best this culturally-rich region has to offer. ...

Over the last year, we have sent our buyers on a scavenger hunt across Kentucky, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Virginia to find the best growers and producers of quality southern products, and Taste the South will tell their story and also feature a record number of products unique exclusive to the store. Southern cuisine is not just about the food, but also the experience, and every store will be full of new and old, down south products and dishes including southern biscuits, Mississippi mud pie, blue crab, green tomatoes, okra, and fresh Atlantic oysters, as well as a variety of cheeses and country sausage. In addition, there will be an impressive array of sought-after specialty smoked hams such as Benton’s, Edwards Virginia Smokehouse Cooked Country Ham, and Lady Edison Ham.

To make sure you get a bite of all of these delights, Taste the South Store Strolls have been planned for May 25th, from 5:00-7:00pm, with more than 20 food and wine tasting stations across the store. If you haven’t made it to one of our famous strolls before, all we can say is maybe make it a light lunch. The stroll is a self-guided tour so take your time, sample and enjoy at your own pace. Added bonus, it’s free but please do register online so that we have plenty to share.
