Potatoes are a Thanksgiving classic. Mashed with butter and salt and dolloped on our plates as the perfect accompaniment to turkey, ham, rib-eye, or roast. But there's nothing wrong with branching out and adding new flavor to your holiday  menu.

Sure we have Whipped Russet Potatoes in our Holiday Guide, and they are a timeless classic that have graced Thanksgiving tables for eons. But have you considered changing things up this year? You could give the traditional mashed potatoes some company on the table (or give them a rest altogether) and load up your menu with with a couple of these Central Market options:

Whipped Sweet Potatoes and even Sweet Potatoes with Bacon Pecan Topping

Herbed Potato Gratin with Roasted Garlic and Manchego Cheese

Or hop way outside the box and go with Roasted Butternut Squash with Sweet Citrus and Pecans (pictured).

You could also liven up classic mashed with simple add-ins like garlic, blue cheese, black pepper, or creme fraiche. And ever heard of Hasselback  Potatoes? They’re a fun and easy way to fancy-up on regular baked potatoes with butter and herbs (and some careful slicing of a full potato). Watch our how-to video here and add them to your Thanksgiving menu!

Keep tastebuds on their toes this holiday season with potatoes and sides from the Central Market Holiday Hotline!
